I noticed my name\u00a0emerge within\u00a0a Facebook discussion the other night, and it led me to discover the booming San Antonio music act, Bombasta<\/a>, led by Roberto \u201cEl Robotico\u201d Livar. He\u2019s also orchestrating a new podcast series called Radio Bomba<\/a>, broadcasting from the old Alamo City Music Building in downtown San Antonio.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been checking out Bombasta\u2019s music in the last couple of days, and they are a force<\/em>! This quote sums it up: \u201cWhen Bombasta, \u2018San Anto\u2019s Barrio Big Band,\u2019 takes a stage, a stage is taken.\u201d<\/em> I\u2019ll need to check out a live show from these guys someday soon. In the meantime, here\u2019s a taste:<\/p>\n

<\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Radio Bomba is a revelation. I checked out <a href=\"http:\/\/radiobomba.tumblr.com\/post\/110007477762\/radio-bomba-episode-3-the-third-episode-in-the\">the third episode featuring an interview with Daniela \u201cZaaZaa\u201d Riojas<\/a>, lead vocalist for the band <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/feminaxmusic\">Femina-X<\/a>. <em>Good stuff!<\/em> Livar knows what he\u2019s doing. He moves the talk\u00a0along\u00a0and\u00a0hits the important beats.<\/p>\n<p>Been listening to some Femina-X in the last 24 hours, and they\u2019re<em> terrific<\/em>. Her bandmates are Alex Paul Scheel of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.poppistol.com\">Pop Pistol<\/a> (keyboards\/guitar), Jeff Palacios (bass), and Chris Cooper (drums).
