SANTA FE, NEW MEXICO: You ready to play Loteria and win fabulous prizes?<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s the skinny: Starting August 12th, George R. R. Martin\u2019s Jean Cocteau Cinema<\/a> will host \u201cLoteria Fest\u201d \u2014 a first-ever exhibition of large-scale gicl\u00e9es featuring my first series of\u00a0Loteria artworks. They\u2019ll also have\u00a0a limited supply\u00a0of my first eleven Loteria Grande cards<\/a> for sale, as well as limited-edition prints of my George R. R. Martin \/ A Song of Ice and Fire<\/em> calendar artwork<\/a> and other cover artworks. The exhibition and sale will run from Wednesday, August 12th to Saturday, August 29th.<\/p>\n

What you don\u2019t want to miss is the\u00a0big night of the whole event.<\/em> That\u2019s\u00a0Thursday, August 27th, and that\u2019s when I\u2019ll be in town to host several rounds of Loteria (AKA Mexican Bingo), giving away terrific prizes including DVDs, books, signed Loteria posters, and more. I\u2019ll be there from 7pm to 9pm, playing this traditional Mexican game of chance,\u00a0and signing cards and posters. I\u2019m really looking forward to it. If you\u2019ve played Loteria before, you know how fun and addictive it is. If you\u2019ve never played, this is your chance to learn, as it\u2019s super-easy to do so, and you\u2019ll have a blast. Here\u2019s some more info on\u00a0the game and how I\u2019m re-imagining it in a new and personal way.<\/a><\/p>\n

FYI: The Cocteau has posted\u00a0an online write-up about the event, but they may be having trouble with their website, as their posted information currently\u00a0contains some inaccuracies.<\/em> So don\u2019t get confused. The information I\u2019ve posted above\u00a0is\u00a0what you need to know. Holler at me if you have any questions.<\/p>\n

The theatre\u00a0only seats\u00a0132, so make sure to mark your calendar and get there by 7pm\u00a0on Thursday the 27th. I\u2019ll have more updates soon, regarding the prizes and goodies you\u2019ll see that night.<\/p>\n
