This week, I stumbled upon a 2006 documentary called SKETCHES OF FRANK GEHRY<\/a>, directed by Sydney Pollack. I\u2019ve watched this DVD five times this week and it\u2019s one of the most inspiring documentaries I\u2019ve ever seen. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who aspires to be an artist (and not just the kind that draw and paint). Gehry describes crossroads in his creative life where I knew all too well the exact experience he was describing. If you\u2019re seriously pursuing a creative path, I suspect you may as well. Shoutout to Ted Chiang \u2014 Ted, you remember that nice, meandering conversation we had in the Newark Airport this month\u2026.especially in light of that talk, I would love to hear what you think of this film.
