Too much good happened last week, too little time to fully relate it all. It was a dynamite show and I had a blast. Here\u2019s a word association game of a few friends from this past week\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Chris Roberson\u2026my homie\u2026my Worldcon roomie\u2026everyone\u2019s favorite World Fantasy-nominated barfly\u2026\u201dWhat time is it? 10am? Cool. Time to hit the bar.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lou Anders\u2026my other homie\u2026Pyr\u2019s editorial director extraordinaire\u2026if you missed the Pyr panel on Friday, then you missed what would happen if P.T. Barnum sold sf\u2026dominant\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Alan Beatts and Jude Feldman\u2026great meal together at the White House (in Anaheim, not 1600 Penn. Ave.)\u2026a fabulous booth for Borderlands Books in the back end of the dealer\u2019s room\u2026.it felt like a home back there\u2026booksignings are always so smooth with these guys\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Karen Jones\u2026always there to laugh at my pain, and mock me when appropriate in the bar\u2026currently using the spare seconds of her life to learn Japanese\u2026still the Smartest Woman on the Planet\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Allison Baker\u2026here she is\u2026there she goes\u2026:) (see photo above)<\/p>\n<p>Diana Gill\u2026another Worldcon, another stylin\u2019 Eos cocktail party production\u2026fabulous as ever\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Irene Gallo\u2026the point person for the Hugo Artist resolution, and one of the most dedicated people I know\u2026in her spare time, she\u2019s the 2006 Chesley Award winning-Art Director\u2026she does it all, folks\u2026a pleasure, as always\u2026thanks for everything, Irene\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Dave Seeley\u2026one of my favorite artists, and one of my favorite people\u2026forgot to tell you congrats on your cover feature for ART SCENE INTERNATIONAL, and also congrats on your Worldcon Art Show Award\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Jim Minz\u2026genius Sunday excursion to Laguna Beach\u2026that was brilliant all around\u2026send those rock band photos when you can, and I\u2019ll post \u2019em.<\/p>\n<p>Liza Groen Trombi\u2026a con would suck without Liza\u2026no one wears expensive food on her head with such style and panache\u2026:)<\/p>\n<p>Amelia Beamer\u2026we trade each other\u2019s badge identities when the mood hits us\u2026just because\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Kirsten Gong-Wong\u2026good to see you, hubby Aaron, and the wondrous Teddy\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Karlyn Pratt\u2026never a dull conversation\u2026that was fun, wasn\u2019t it?\u2026see you in Austin\u2026<\/p>\n<p>William Lexner\u2026great seeing you, your wife, and the entire BWB crew\u2026.holy cow, you cats know how to party\u2026.THAT was impressive on Saturday night\u2026.<\/p>\n<p>Rani Graff\u2026too bad you live halfway around the world\u2026we\u2019ll be in touch in the coming months, I would imagine\u2026great seeing you again\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Sean Williams\u2026wish I would\u2019ve spent more time with this guy\u2026wish he could come to more cons over here\u2026.<\/p>\n<p>Garth Nix\u2026we\u2019ve gotta work on our doubles pool-playing, brother.
